Former Hab Sergei Kostitsyn reportedly signs with another new team

After a very brief stint with HC Shakhtyor Soligorsk in the Belarusian Extraliga, former Montreal Canadien Sergei Kostitsyn is reportedly joining HSC Csíkszereda of the Romanian Hockey League according to the Belarusian Hockey Federation's website.

"Belarusian forward Sergei Kostitsyn (1987) accepted the offer of the Romanian club HSC Csíkszereda. This will be his second season in Europe," the Belarus Hockey Federation said on Wednesday.

Kostitsyn spent the 2020-21 season playing for the Bratislava Capitals in the ICEHL, while he played from 2013-2019 in the KHL, and he sat out the entire 2019-20 season.

The Novopolotsk, Belarus native was drafted in the seventh round, 200th overall by the Montreal Canadiens in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft. Kostitsyn played parts of six seasons in the league for Montreal and the Nashville Predators where he had 176 points (67 G, 109 A), 188 penalty minutes and was a +19 in 353 regular season games. He added 15 points (4 G, 11 A) in 40 career playoff games.
