Just a few months ago they would have been bitter rivals. However, Ryan McDonagh of the Tampa Bay Lightning and Cole Caufield of the Montreal Canadiens, both alumni of the University of Wisconsin's hockey program, are now able to look back and have a laugh.

The two are at Camp Randall with their old team for an event this weekend. While there, Caufield showed McDonagh and play from the Stanley Cup final between their two NHL teams where McDonagh clearly and intentionally trips Caufield while he's heading to the bench.

"I was gonna come for you after that," joked Caufield.

"Well you're the best player, I had to try and take you out," McDonagh said

"I didn't get caught, I didn't even get a penalty," McDonagh added with a laugh.

It's good that they can joke about it now. If I had to guess, Caufield likely wasn't very happy about it at the time, if he even realized what had happened.
