The hockey world is still reeling over the heartbreaking and tragic loss of Matthew and Johnny Gaudreau last month, and their father Guy Gaudreau has honoured them today at Philadelphia Flyers practice.

The greater Philadelphia native Gaudreau family has been the focal point of the hockey world for the last few weeks after intoxicated driver Sean Higgins took the lives of brothers Matthew and Johnny. Matthew was a former NCAA player who spent time in the New York Islanders system, and went on to become a coach. Johnny was an NHL all star beloved league-wide, especially by Calgary Flames and Columbus Blue Jackets fans.

While many NHL teams and players have honoured their memory, none have been as heartbreaking and their father Guy this morning, who put on a coaches outfit to help out at Philadelphia Flyers practice.

Guy Gaudreau was invited by the Philadelphia Flyers to join their non-playing group against the Montreal Canadiens tonight, and it is truly one of the most beautiful things we have seen in the hockey world in a long time.

Guy helped Matthew and Johnny growing up, and can be attributed with a lot of their success in hockey due to his intelligent and creative skating coaching tactics. In memory of his sons, it is incredible to see him back on the ice.

We are sure that Matthew and Johnny are watching from above proudly. Rest in peace, Matthew and Johnny Gaudreau, you will never be forgotten.
