Leon Draisaitl left the bench in the Oilers game one battle with the Vancouver Canucks, and today, there doesn't seem to be much positivity around the situation.

After demolishing the Los Angeles Kings in round one, the Edmonton Oilers came into a matchup against the Vancouver Canucks flying high and full of confidence. Unfortunately, game one couldn't have gone any worse, as they squandered a 4-1 lead before losing 5-4, all without superstar forward Leon Draisaitl, who left the game with cramps in the second period.

Now, Head Coach Kris Knoblauch has updated the media on his situation, revealing that both he and Adam Henrique are day-to-day moving forward.

Unfortunately, things aren't looking good currently, as Draisaitl was absent from the Oilers skate around on Thursday morning, signalling that perhaps he may be missing game two.

Adam Henrique on the ice. Leon Draisaitl absent.

On the surface, a day-to-day update in somewhat positive, as the team haven't ruled him out for game two, but if they want to be cautious, it may be the play if they want him at 100% when this series shifts back to Edmonton and home ice advantage.

Without Draisaitl, this teams chances of a deep playoff run take a major nosedive, but if he can return for games three and four in Edmonton, they have a chance of making this a great series against a high octane, talented Vancouver Canucks lineup.
