It looks like the NHL veteran and former Toronto Maple Leafs' James van Riemsdyk will play his first playoff game with the Boston Bruins tonight.
After being scratched for the first two matchups of the series against the Toronto Maple Leafs, Jim Montgomery and the Bruins' management have decided to put van Riedmsdyk on the lineup.
Mason Lohrei and Parker Wotherspoon should also play tonight, as the Bruins take on the Leafs on their turf for the first time of the playoffs.
The Athletic's Fluto Shinzawa shared on X:
"Looks like James van Riemsdyk, Mason Lohrei, and Parker Wotherspoon are in. Jakub Lauko and Matt Grzelcyk are out. Andrew Peeke is unavailable."
Mark Masters added that van Riemsdyk practiced on the Power Play unit at the Bruins' morning skate earlier today:
"James van Riemsdyk taking PP reps at Bruins skate
Chats with David Pastrnak afterwards
JvR scratched in first two games "
The Bruins will try to bounce back after losing the series' lead in Boston with a 3-2 loss last Monday.
