The NHL is making moves to relocate the Arizona Coyotes to Salt Lake City, and it appears they're taking another step forward in that process.

Early on Wednesday, it was revealed that the NHL were making two separate schedules for 2024-25, with Salt Lake City on one and Arizona on the other, and now it appears more and more likely that Salt Lake City will host the NHL's latest relocation. Now, there's been another major update in the potential move, with Daily Faceoff's Frank Seravalli revealing the two parties have made significant process in the move.

BREAKING: Sources tell @DailyFaceoff- NHL, Arizona Coyotes & Smith Entertain. Grp have made significant progress on the framework of an agreement to relocate #Yotes to Salt Lake City, Utah.

#NHL memo updated Governors today.

NOT done. Many layers and lawyers. Much work to do.

As Seravalli states, things are not done yet, but now, people covering the Coyotes have seemingly accepted this as the move going forward.

Coyotes fans ... much love, support, and thanks. What a ride this has been. I'll love AZ forever. Hope to see NHL hockey there once again in the future.

Given their struggles to find an arena and a consistent fan base, this is likely the best move for the NHL. Stay tuned as we will continue to update you on the latest relocation bid in the NHL.
