Hockey fights really aren't supposed to be funny. Intense and entertaining, yes, but not funny. This throwdown between John Hayden of the Arizona Coyotes and Marcus Foligno of the Minnesota Wild definitely falls into the funny category. Neither is a complete stranger to dropping the gloves (they've fought each other before), but this feels more like a dance than a fight. After prancing for a while posturing for position, the two grab each other by the sweaters and literally twirl around before Foligno throws what would be the only two attempts of the match. Neither of them hits the mark and the two lock up. There are couple of weak offers, and then the officials break them up.
As far as fights go, this has to be the most hilariously sad this season, if not in a long while.
