You can call this pretty conclusive proof that at least some hockey players pay attention to what fans are writing about them online. On Friday, Jakub Voracek of the Philadelphia Flyers posted a pretty cryptic Tweet that left many confused. All the Tweet said was "Deadhead let's meet face to face one day."

Several asked in the thread what this was all about. It took a reply from another Twitter user with a screenshot to clear up the confusion. A user on HFBoards wrote a very long message about why he feels Voracek isn't living up to his contract this season, adding he's no longer a top forward. Here's the screenshot:

Voracek is known for saying exactly how he feels in person and on social media. He absolutely ripped apart a reporter back in January after a question from him during a post-game interview. Voracek called the reporter a "weasel" and added he wasn't even going to answer his question. He also called out a Twitter user in Febraury of last year after the user said Voracek needs to be traded. In that case, he asked the user if he had watched the game that night before explaining that he was pretty good defensively, adding "anything else."

It is somewhat surprising to see that players are paying so much attention to what's being said about them online. The bottom line is, if you're in the public eye it's not reasonable to expect that every comment about you will be positive, no matter how well you're doing. But, hey, if this is how Voracek wants to handle it, that's entirely up to him.
