This past weekend, fans were treated to two outdoor games in Lake Tahoe, the first being Saturday between the Vegas Golden Knights and the Colorado Avalanche, while the second was between the Boston Bruins and the Philadelphia Flyers.

Saturday's game turned out to be rather disastrous, as the game was forced to have an eight-hour delay after the first period due to poor ice conditions. While they were able to finish it, the game didn't resume until midnight eastern time which meant they lost many viewers. Thankfully however, Sunday's game more than made up for it.

Sean Shapiro of The Athletic sent out in a Tweet Wednesday morning that the Bruins-Flyers game was the most watched regular season game ever for NBCSN, with a total audience of 1.068 million. As Shapiro went on to mention, there is a reason the NHL does as many outdoor games as they do. This one in particular was something to be seen, as the backdrop featured both a lake and mountains in the distance, making it seem like a picture perfect area to have a hockey game.

While no fans were able to attend the game due to COVID restrictions, many at home tuned into a great game which ended in a 7-3 win for the Bruins.
