The National Hockey League announced on Wednesday that Thursday's game between the Dallas Stars and Tampa Bay Lightning has been postponed due to ongoing issues related to a recent storm that blew through Texas earlier this week.

"As a result of ongoing power issues caused by severe weather in the Dallas area, and after consultation with Dallas Mayor Eric Johnson's office, Thursday night's game between the Stars and Tampa Bay Lightning at American Airlines Center is also being postponed. A make-up date will be announced as soon as it can be confirmed." The NHL said in a statement on Wednesday.

This will be their third postponement in four days after Monday and Tuesday's games were shelved due to power outages in the Dallas-Forth Worth area.

Dallas currently sits sixth in the Discover Central Division with a record of 5-3-4 through 12 games. Their next game on the schedule will be against the Tampa Bay Lightning in Dallas on Saturday. If power issues continue, it's possible that game will be postponed as well.
