MAJOR: Insider Reveals the Avalanche Will Add Point-Per-Game Winger Ahead of the Playoffs
According to a new report, the Colorado Avalanche could get some interesting reinforcement before the end of the regular season.
Nichushkin Eyeing Return with the Colorado Avalanche Before the Playoffs?
In a recent update, we learned that Avs forward Valeri Nichushkin could get back with his team before the start of the playoffs.
Nichushkin joined the NHL's Player Assistance Program in January and everything indicates he will be back to help his team in the playoffs.
If the timing is right, both Nichushkin and Avs' captain Gabriel Landeskog could be activated for the playoffs. If the organization does that, don't be surprise if they face backlash for circumventing the salary cap, as we've seen in the past years with Nikita Kucherov and Mark Stone.
Nichushkin, in 40 games this season, tallied 42 points, including 22 goals. If he can get back to that pace for the playoffs, it's safe to say that the Avs will have interesting depth that could help their chances of winning a seconds Stanley Cup in three years.
