Bell Media, the parent company of TSN, is certainly not messing around when it comes to recent cuts. After firing several staff members at TSN last week, including recongnizavle names such as Dan O'Toole and Brent Wallace, there's now word that three TSN Sports radio stations in three major Canadian cities have been taken off the air completely.

TSN 1040 in Vancouver, TSN 1290 in Winnipeg and TSN 1150 in Hamilton are all broadcasting a recorded message.

"This was a difficult decision but the reality of the quickly evolving broadcast media landscape in Canada have made this change unavoidable. We want to thank our on-air personalities, advertising partners and sponsors, and everyone who has contributed to this station, but especially we want to thank you, our listeners," the statement said."

We can only assume most, if not all, on-air personalities at those stations have been let go. The three Twitter accounts for these stations have already been deleted from the social media platform. Going to the websites for any of them gives you the following:

According to leaked details, staff were not given much notice or much time to leave their buildings.

It's a shame to see these stations die such an unremarkable death after being on the air for so long. TSN 1040 in Vancouver was the city's original all-sports radio station and hockey was king for all three. Bell, reportedly worth over $5 billion, has been slashing and burning at its television and radio stations across the country the past couple of months.

O'Toole, just a few days after being let go suddenly from his job with TSN SportsCentre, took to his twitter account to make some statement about the recently held Bell Let's Talk day and how putting people out of work is certainly not good for their mental health.
