Another NHL team has postponed at least one game as it deals with positive tests for COVID-19. According to TSN's Frank Seravalli, Tuesday's game between the Philadelphia Flyers and Washington Capitals has been called off and will be made up at a later date.

TSN's Darren Dreger confirms at least two Flyers have tested positive for COVID. One of them would be defenseman Travis Sanheim. The second is not known.

The Capitals recently went through their own COVID issues with four players being placed on the COVID protocol list. It has since been confirmed that Evgeni Kuznetzov and Ilya Samsanov both tested positive. They have recovered and are just about ready to get back to playing. Meanwhile, the New Jersey Devils, Minnesota Wild and Buffalo Sabres had their temporary shutdown extended until later this week on Monday. Wild GM Bill Guerin has expressed concern saying he's had nine players and one staff member test positive with many showing symptoms.

The league has already shortened the season to 56 games but you have to wonder if it may be even shorter than that for some teams. There isn't a lot of time to make up these games and still finish the regular season and playoffs at the regular time. With the postponement of Philly's game on Tuesday, the NHL is now up to 34 games having to be rescheduled since the start of the season.
