The Montreal Canadiens are definitely a team to follow closely as the trade deadline approaches. They have three goaltenders and could be looking to offload one of them.
A major rumor emerged this morning linking the Habs to the Colorado Avalanche, which was proved to be false by two renowned insiders.

Habs fans thought that Kent Hughes finally made a decision on his goalie problems after this rumor came out:

However, both Chris Johnston and Darren Dreger confirmed that it hasn't happened yet.
"Told the reports of #habs Jake Allen being traded to the #Avs are inaccurate. Nothing happening there ... at least right now."
"There is no Jake Allen deal to Colorado. The two clubs haven't spoken in days but there has been previous discussions. Nothing close at this stage."
The Avalanche and the Canadiens have already been trade partners a few time in recent years, and they're definitely teams to follow as we get closer to March 8th.
