John Tavares of the Toronto Maple Leafs is currently going through the biggest slump of his career.

Maple Leafs Captain John Tavares Hits New Career-Low

Toronto Maple Leafs went into a tough game against one of the best teams in the NHL last night, the Vancouver Canucks. The loss has left question marks about the Leafs' ability to win when really it matters, against top teams.


Another troubling thing that came out of the Leafs' loss was John Tavares. He was held off the scoresheet again for the eighth straight game. He's currently going through the worst slump of his career.



Tavares, who has an impressive start of the season with 34 points in 44 games, has been struggling lately, which reflects the team's overall recent performances.

Tavares Shows Signs of Frustration at the End of Game

Tavares' frustration was palpable last night after the loss. Despite coming back from a 3-0 deficit to tie the game at 3-3, the Leafs ultimately fell short and the Canucks won 6-4.

Late in the game, Tavares lashes some of his frustrations out on Canucks' defenseman Tyler Myers.

The Leafs will look to bounce back tonight against the Seattle Kraken for their second game in 24 hours.
