Fans of Boston University's men's hockey team got an unpleasant surprise tonight as they tried to enjoy the game.

Fire Alarm Goes Off During Important NCAA Game

late in the second period, BU was up 3-0 when suddenly the fire alarm at Merrimack college's Lawler Arena started going off.

Eventually, the game was able to resume and Boston University took a 3-0 lead into the final intermission.

BU's twitter account joked that it must have been a Merrimack fan that pulled the alarm since their team was down big to the Hockey East titan.

Merrimack is currently 9th in the NCAA's Hockey East conference with a 2-4-1 record. BU leads the conference with 5-1-1 record and they look to extend their lead with another victory tonight.
