Recently the Carolina Hurricanes and Philadelphia Flyers tried to get a deal done centered around Tony DeAngelo. The deal fell through and DeAngelo was bought out. Now one of the prospects rumored to have been coveted by Philadelphia in DeAngelo talks is on his way to Philly in a trade.
Rizzo Heads To Philadelphia
Massimo Rizzo a prospect for the Carolina Hurricanes is reportedly on the move to the Philadelphia Flyers.
The Trade details are reported as follows:
TO CAROLINA: David Kase
TO PHILADELPHIA: Massimo Rizzo and a 5th-round pick
Trade Analysis
This trade sends a coveted prospect in Rizzo to Philadelphia along with a late-round pick. Rizzo most recently had an outstanding season at the University of Denver putting up 46 points in 38 games. He will add depth to a growing prospect system.
The Hurricanes get themselves a prospect who is the brother of a current NHLer. David Kase brother of Ondrej is a 26-year-old forward who most recently played in Czechia. Kase could add some depth to the Hurricanes organization and be ready to make the league in a depth role sooner than Rizzo.
