The Golden Knights second line center could miss a few games after a dirty hit on Panthers forward Nick Cousins.
Potential Suspension Incoming for Stephenson Following Dirty Hit on Cousins
What Chandler Stephenson provides for the Vegas Golden Knights is hard to quantify. He scored 65 points this past season but does much more than score points. He is one of the few Golden Knights players that has won a cup and knows what it takes to win one.
But, he may be facing some trouble with the league after this extremely dirty hit on Nick Cousins.
This may warrant a suspension given the nature of the hit and the time of the game it occurred during. It will be interesting to see what happens to Stephenson tomorrow and if it will just be a fine or a suspension.
While the Golden Knights won game one, this should ignite Cousins' linemates Matthew Tkachuk and Sam Bennett for game two and beyond.
