In the past few minutes, it has been reported that the Tampa Bay Lightning has made an offer to one of their key players.

According to Puck Empire, Alex Killorn, who was drafted by the Lightning in 2007, has received an offer from the team.

"The #Lightning 🇺🇸 have made a long-term contract extension offer to Alex Killorn 🇨🇦, who is set to become an unrestricted free agent on July 1st. The offer has a low average annual value (AAV).

Killorn, 33, had 27 goals and 64 points in 82 games played with Tampa Bay last season.

He has been with Tampa Bay since being drafted 77th overall in 2007 and has played 805 games with the franchise. During his time with the team, he has scored 198 goals and 466 points, while also winning two Stanley Cups."

Killorn is a crucial player for the Lightning. He is known for being tough to play against and performs well in important moments.

However, due to his declining speed, the offer he received is not as high as it could have been. If Killorn wants to remain in Tampa Bay, he should consider accepting the offer.

Do you think he'll accept?
