When the Pittsburgh Penguins decided to ditch both President of Hockey Operations Brian Burke and General Manager Ron Hextall at the end of this season, all bets were off on the future of the team. Management reiterated they still wanted to win with the core of Sidney Crosby, Evgeni Malkin, and Kris Letang, but that is exactly what Burke and Hextall attempted to do and it didn't work. At least one person believes Crosby is on his way out, and his landing spot would be certainly send a major message to other NHL teams.

Former player turned analyst Paul Bissonnette believe Crosby may be on his way to the Colorado Avalanche, adding considerable firepower to a team that already has quite a bit of it.

Adding Sidney Crosby, who is 35 and coming off a 93 point season, would be a huge get for any team. For Colorado, it would be massive if they could pull it off, ensuring a competing team for a few more years to come.
