The Los Angeles Kings and Florida Panthers have come together on Monday afternoon to complete a trade involving an unsigned college prospect, who just completed his fifth season in the NCAA.

Los Angeles has acquired 22-year-old defenceman Cole Krygier from the Panthers in exchange for future considerations.

Krygier, a native of Novi (Michigan), was drafted by the Panthers in the seventh round back in 2018, but never signed with them and could still become an unrestricted free agent on August 15th if he doesn't put pen to paper with Los Angeles.

In 38 games for Michigan State University this season, Krygier had 16 points (ten goals, six assists), 60 penalty minutes and was a plus-two. His ten goals this season were tied for fourth-most among defencemen in the entire NCAA.
