Late in the second period of Sunday's game between St. Louis and Winnipeg, Jets forward Nikolaj Ehlers was on the receiving end of a cheap shot from Blues forward Brayden Schenn.

After the Ehlers attempted to clear the puck out of his zone, Schenn skates by and cross-checks the Danish forward in the arm. Schenn wasn't too happy about Ehlers hitting him before the puck got to him, clearly thinking it should have been an interference call.

Ehlers then gets up and skates back into the neutral zone where he finds Schenn and the two drop the mitts for a spirited bout. Schenn got the better of Ehlers and landed several lefts to the Jets forward's face before the officials separated the two.

Both Ehlers and Schenn received seven penalty minutes on the play - two for slashing and five for fighting. A total of 52 penalty minutes were called throughout the game between the two Central Division rivals.
