According to TSN's Pierre LeBrun, the Los Angeles Kings have traded forward Brendan Lemieux and a fifth-round pick in the 2024 NHL Entry Draft to the Philadelphia Flyers in exchange for forward Zach MacEwen.

Lemieux, a former second-round pick of the Buffalo Sabres, has only appeared in one game for the Los Angeles Kings since late-January and that came on February 18th against the Arizona Coyotes. In 27 games this season, Lemieux has three assists, 53 penalty minutes and is a minus-six. Lemieux was given non-roster status by the Kings on March 1st, but following their game against the Montreal Canadiens, he was activated.

The Denver native is set to become an unrestricted free agent on July 1st.

MacEwen, 26, hasn't played since late-January after suffering a broken jaw in fight against Minnesota Wild forward Marcus Foligno. He was activated off injured reserve earlier today. In 46 games this season, the Charlottetown (PEI) native has nine points (four goals, five assists), 54 penalty minutes and is a minus-nine. MacEwan is set to become an RFA at the conclusion of the season.
