Nugent-Hopkins drops the mitts for rare fight with Holl after hit on Yamamoto (video)

Just over half-way through the third period during Wednesday's game between Edmonton and Toronto, Maple Leafs defenceman Justin Holl laid a massive hit on Oilers forward Kailer Yamamoto, who's dealt with concussion-related issues this season.

Yamamoto's teammate, Ryan Nugent-Hopkins, came to to his defence and dropped the gloves with Justin Holl in a spirited bout. Both players got a handful of good punches in, with Nugent-Hopkins landing a some solid rights and a couple of uppercuts, before taking Holl to the ice.

Wednesday's fight marked the fourth time in his NHL career that Ryan Nugent-Hopkins has dropped the mitts and the first time since January of 2020.
