Patrick Kane turned back the clock on Sunday night at the United Center against the Toronto Maple Leafs, recording a hat-trick and one assist in a 5-3 win.

With the NHL's deadline less than two weeks away and several teams interesting in Kane, the 34-year-old was asked after the game about the possibility of Toronto being a landing spot for him and he denied those rumours, saying it wasn't a realistic destination.

"I don't think there was – at least that I know of - much discussion of that being an option. I think there's a lot of different reports out there & not all of them are true. Gotta be careful what you listen to." Kane said according to Scott Powers of The Athletic.

Kane has been linked to a handful of teams in recent weeks, including the Dallas Stars and Vegas Golden Knights by ESPN's Kevin Weekes, as well as the Edmonton Oilers by by TSN's Chris Johnston.

Following Sunday's win, Kane was named the first star of the game and given a loud ovation by the fans at the United Center as he came out to salute them, for potentially the final time as a Blackhawk.

The Blackhawks have six games left before the trade deadline on Friday, March 3rd, with two of them coming at home. It will be interesting to see over the next few days if the Blackhawks decide to scratch Kane for 'trade-related reasons' as the Blue Jackets and Coyotes have been doing with Vladislav Gavrikov and Jakob Chychrun, respectively.
