On Monday, the Vancouver Canucks shipped captain Bo Horvat to the New York Islanders in exchange for Anthony Beauvillier, Aatu Raty and a conditional 2023 first-round pick.

At the time of the trade, the thoughts of many fans were on the year's of solid service the London (Ontario) native brought to the Vancouver Canucks, but then came the question: what happens with Horvat's appearance at NHL All-Star Weekend?

Would he now represent the Islanders because he's with their organization now? Would he represent the Canucks still as that's who he was named to the game as? Or would it be another John Scott situation, where he would wear an All-Star Game jersey during the Skills Competition instead of his team's uniform? Well, we now have the answer on how the NHL will handle Horvat's appearance this weekend.

According to ESPN's Greg Wyshynski, Bo Horvat will stay with the Pacific Division All-Stars for the weekend, but will be wearing a New York Islanders Reverse Retro uniform during the Skills Competition.

Pretty wild to think that Horvat's first time wearing a New York Islanders uniform will come before he's even appeared in a game for them.

The NHL's All-Star Weekend kicks off on Friday evening at 7:30 p.m. ET with the Skills Competition, followed by the mini 3-on-3 tournament on Saturday afternoon at 3 p.m. ET. Both can be viewed on Sportsnet in Canada, while the Skills Competition will be aired on ESPN and the mini tournament on ABC in the United States.
