The Pittsburgh Penguins are in the midst of another frustrating stretch, losing three of their last four games, including Saturday against the San Jose Sharks by a score of 6-4.

Following Saturday's game, Penguins bench boss Mike Sullivan met with reporters and said that he has to do a better job of coaching the team.

"It's on all of us, it always is. It starts with me," Sullivan said. "I've gotta do a better job coaching these guys and getting it out of them and making sure that the message is being heard."

He added, "I think there's been volatility in our game, and we've got to bring a consistent game every night ... and that's what we talk about with our guys a lot. We try to show them examples of what that looks like, when we're at our best. We've got to bring it more consistently, and when we do that, we're gonna give ourselves a chance to win on most nights."

Pittsburgh's bye-week couldn't have come at a better time as the team is now off until February 7th, when they'll host the Colorado Avalanche before embarking on a four-game road trip to California and to face the New York Islanders.

The Penguins currently sit fifth in the Metropolitan Division with a record of 24-16-9 (57 points) through 49 games.
