During the '32 Thoughts' segment on Hockey Night in Canada on Saturday, Sportsnet insider Elliotte Friedman revealed that the Edmonton Oilers are interested in trading for Arizona Coyotes forward Nick Bjugstad.

"I believe Edmonton is one of the teams, and I think there's more than one, that has interest in Arizona center Nick Bjugstad. It's an easy contract for a lot of teams to handle, $900K." Friedman said.

Bjugstad, 30, signed with the Coyotes last summer after spending the previous two seasons with the Minnesota Wild. So far this season, the Minneapolis native has 21 points (11 goals, ten assists), 22 penalty minutes and is a plus-eight.

He would certainly provide some size down the middle for Edmonton or possibly on the wing, whichever they would utilize him at. Bjugstad stands at 6'4", 209lbs and would help the Oilers, or any team for that matter, with some depth scoring down the stretch.
