A surprising name has landed on the waiver wire on Sunday afternoon. According to Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman, Detroit Red Wings goaltender Alex Nedeljkovic and Dallas Stars forward Nick Caamano have been placed on waivers.

Nedeljkovic, 27, hasn't had a great season so far, appearing in nine games for the Red Wings where he has a 2-4-2 record along with a 4.09 GAA and an .880 save percentage. He was relegated to the back-up role this season after spending last year as the starter, due to Steve Yzerman trading for and signing pending free agent goaltender Ville Husso. The Parma (Ohio) native is in the final year of a two-year contract with an AAV of $3 million.

Caamano, 24, hasn't appeared in a game this season due to undergoing back surgery in the middle of September. The Ancaster (Ontario) native spent the 2021-22 season in the AHL, putting up 14 points (eight goals, six assists), 40 penalty minutes and was a minus-six.

In other waivers related news, Zac Dalpe (Florida) has cleared and will be assigned to the Charlotte Checkers of the American Hockey League.
