Bruce Boudreau is usually a very happy-go-lucky guy who enjoys joking around with reporters and even his players. However, there's very little to be happy about with the Vancouver Canucks at the moment and it seems the prospect of Boudreau being shown the door is very real, something the veteran coach seems well aware of.

Vancouver lost their fourth game in a row Saturday night, 4-3 to the Florida Panthers. That's six losses in their last seven games, while the team has a dismal record of 13-23-8. Whether the team's woes are Boudreau's fault is debatable, but the head coach is usually the first to go in these situations, and it looks like Boudreau is just hanging by a thread at the moment. When asked about rumours that he may lose his job following Saturday night's game, Boudreau choked back tears while saying "I just wake up everyday and go to work until they tell me not to."

The frontrunner in the rumour mill to replace Boudreau appears to be Rick Tocchet, who is currently an analyst on the NHL on TNT. Tocchet has served as the head coach of the Tampa Bay Lightning and Arizona Coyotes.
