One area of emphasis in the Vancouver locker room is J.T. Miller, who signed a monster seven-year, $56 million contract this summer. Miller is on pace for 70 points this season, which isn't bad, but it's also a ~30% drop off from last season.
And his new deal hasn't even started yet!
What's more, he has had several...outbursts - if you can even call them that - this season. The guy is passionate, and no one should hold that against him. However, when it happens, we can't help but talk about the huge contract they just signed.
Miller had another such moment when goaltender Collin Delia failed to skate to the bench on time:
And to think, Miller and the Canucks only have another seven-and-a-half years together. Finding any sort of trade partner won't be easy to do either. So, while Elias Pettersson might be the Canucks' only untouchable, that doesn't make him the only one who's staying put for the time being.
