The waiver wire on Wednesday, October 12th featured a trio of players according to Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman.

Calgary Flames forward Martin Pospisil, San Jose defenceman Scott Harrington and Tampa Bay Lightning forward Pierre-Cedric Labrie were all placed on waivers at 2 p.m. ET.

Pospisil, 22, is set to play for Calgary's AHL affiliate for the fourth straight season, despite having a strong camp and pushing for a spot on the NHL roster.

Harrington, 29, signed a professional try-out contract with the Sharks and turned that into a one-year deal in late-September. He's appeared in one contest with the Sharks during their Global Series games against the Nashville Predators in Prague.

Labrie, 36, signed a one-year, two-way contract with the Lightning earlier this week and will play for the Syracuse Crunch if he clears waivers at 2 p.m. on Thursday. The Baie-Comeau (Quebec) native has played for several different AHL teams over the course of his career and has appeared in 46 NHL games from 2011 to 2014, all with the Lightning.
