Jan Mysak among 23 players cut by Montreal on Friday

It's been just over a week since the Montreal Canadiens opened training camp and on Friday they announced that they've cut 23 players from their roster including 2020 second round pick, Jan Mysak.

All 23 players have been assigned to the Laval Rocket of the American Hockey League and will report for their training camp, which begins on Sunday.

Here are the players that were cut from training camp on Friday:

Under NHL contract: Lucas Condotta, Gianni Fairbrother, Cam Hillis, Jan Mysak, Joël Teasdale.

Under AHL contract: Peter Abbandonato, Anthony Beauregard, Gabriel Bourque, Santino Centorame, Tory Dello, Philippe Desrosiers, Ryan Francis, Olivier Galipeau, Alex Green, Danick Martel, Émile Poirier, Brennan Saulnier, Brett Stapley, Joe Vrbetic.

AHL try-out: Pierrick Dubé, John Parker-Jones, Miguël Tourigny, William Trudeau.

The Canadiens will be back in action on Saturday night when they face the Senators in Ottawa at 7 p.m. ET.
