Ahead of tomorrow's game against the Montreal Canadiens, the Toronto Maple Leafs held a practice but head coach Sheldon Keefe didn't seem too happy with their effort level and focus according to Jonas Siegel of The Athletic.

Siegel said in a tweet on Tuesday morning that Keefe stopped the practice twice, 20 seconds apart, because he didn't like what he was seeing in a drill and then proceeded to make the team do sprints.

Keefe could be heard saying: "We've got to be way more physical...You've got to be fucking physical." Siegel added.

It's not too alarming to see this happen, especially given that it's pre-season after all, but this isn't the first time Keefe hasn't been happy with their effort level and physicality. Back in January, Keefe called the Maple Leafs "soft and purposeless" after blowing a lead and losing to the New York Rangers.

The Maple Leafs will welcome the Montreal Canadiens to town on Wednesday night. Puck drop is set for 7 p.m. ET on Sportsnet One, TSN2 and RDS.
