Jordan Binnington Displays New Mask and the Irony is Impossible to Ignore

Jordan Binnington's new mask was revealed today and it stood out for two reasons: 1) it is a work of art and 2) it features a rendition of Buddha, which is hilariously ironic.

Remember the Blues' playoff series against Colorado when Nazem Kadri crashed into Binnington? And then Binnington chucked a water bottle at Kadri during a post-game interview?

His inclusion of Buddha could be an homage to his personal efforts to curb his anger and all that, but the irony is impossible to ignore. It is a bit rich, given the character of Jordan Binnington.

Still, the mask looks great, and it was nice to see the humble touch of adding the Stanley Cup on the back. Can't let people forget about that. Perhaps, Binnington just wants to turn the page and let zen be his guide. Goosfraba.
