After images circulated online and even the actual jerseys were spotted in a Bay Area sports store, the San Jose Sharks will officially unveil their new home and away uniforms on Wednesday, according to Sheng Peng of San Jose Hockey Now.

Peng said that the full uniform, including the jerseys, pants, gloves and helmets will be unveiled at a Sharks365 season ticket holder event on Wednesday at around 10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. local. The uniforms will be unveiled following a Q&A with new Sharks General Manager Mike Grier and Head Coach David Quinn.

The new uniforms first leaked on Twitter from a user by the name of Ali Murji. Murji first reported that the uniforms would be unveiled and worn in 2023-24, but later mentioned that they would be worn this season. Reputable hockey jersey insider Icethetics confirmed the news shortly after Murji's tweet.

The main question with the new uniforms is for their home jersey. In Murji's tweet, it included photo's of the home and away uniforms from Adidas, with the Sharks wearing teal pants with their home jerseys. There are also some reports stating that the home uniform will include blank pants rather than teal, but we'll have to wait for Wednesday full reveal.

About five days later, the new home and away jerseys popped up in a local Bay Area sports store and images of the uniforms were shared all across social media by hockey fans. The new uniforms don't include the colour orange anymore (other than the inside of the collar) and are pretty simple, but clean looking. Striping returns to the Sharks uniforms at the bottom of the jersey for the first time since 2013 and as mentioned, they won't include orange for the first time since 2007.

It's unclear if San Jose's black stealth third jerseys will return for this coming season after being introduced in 2018, but if I were to guess, there's probably a good chance it will be apart of their jersey rotation this season, along with their Reverse Retro 2.0 jersey, which will be a throwback to the California Golden Seals.
