After spending parts of the last four seasons with the Winnipeg Jets, former Montreal Canadiens first round pick Nathan Beaulieu has signed a professional tryout contract with the Anaheim Ducks, according to CapFriendly.

Beaulieu, 29, was drafted by the Canadiens seventeenth overall in 2011 and spent parts of the first five seasons of his career with them and their AHL affiliate. In June 2017, the Canadiens traded Beaulieu to Buffalo where he would spend the next one-and-a-half seasons.

The Strathroy (Ontario) native was traded by the Jets to Pittsburgh in March, but due to injury issues, he never appeared in a game with them and became an unrestricted free agent this summer.

In 24 games for the Jets during the 2021-22 season, Beaulieu put up four assists, 25 penalty minutes and was a minus-seven.
