While there are mixed feelings among the Calgary Flames fanbase about the Blasty uniforms, it appears that they may be making another comeback for the 2022-23 season.

In a Facebook post, a black Blasty jersey, similar to the 2020-21 Reverse Retro one, was made available for sale for $180. But there are a few differences between the two that indicate that this may be Calgary's third jersey for the 2022-23 season.

First, the inside of the collar is different, as you can see in the photos below. The Reverse Retro version includes yellow on the back inside of the collar and says 'CGY 95' with the Reverse Retro logo in the middle. Meanwhile, the new version does not include that.

The second most notable difference is that this new version is using Adidas' Primegreen style, which was only introduced ahead of the 2021-22 season. The Primegreen jerseys include extra detail to the logo, numbers, etc.

The Adidas merchandising tag on the sleeve also indicates that this will be Calgary's third jersey next season by saying 'CFL THIRD'.

There are going to be several people likely questioning the legitimacy of the jersey, especially given that the images show Matthew Tkachuk's name and number on the back, but these uniforms were almost certainly in production before that trade occurred.

This isn't the first leak we've seen from Facebook Marketplace in the last several weeks. Earlier this month, the Vancouver Canucks had their Reverse Retro 2.0 uniform leaked.

It's only a matter of time before we find out if this indeed will be Calgary's third jersey next season or not, but it seems more likely than not that it will be. Take a look at the post on Twitter from Icethetics, as well as the link to the Facebook Marketplace post below.
