If you tell people a well-known hockey player is going to be at a fan event, you should probably invite the player first. Mikhail Sergachev of the Tampa Bay Lightning is not happy after a social media post from KHL team AK Bars Kazan promoting an event on August 26th that states Sergachev will be in attendance.

"The second TANECO Forum will be held on August 26 in Kazan. The professional sports conference will once again be attended by top industry speakers: content manager of the largest football media 433, Tampa defender Mikhail Sergachev, head of KHL TV Dmitry Fyodorov and others. We also expect a fire at the battle between Spartak and CSKA. All details and registration - follow the link in stories," said Ak Bars on Instagram.

"If anything I wasn't invited there or contacted," Sergachev replied in the post. "Using me to attract people is not very good. You can delete and fire the PR organizers of this event."

Sergachev received no response from the team, and the post remained up and unaltered at the time this story was written. Sergachev's comment did receive a reply from fellow Russian hockey player Mikhail Maltsev, who joked that he was ready to take Sergachev's spot.

"I'm ready to replace Sergachev😄. Direct message is open," said Maltsev.

Andrei Svechnikov also commented.

"Come on Mishan, they'll take your plane🚀you'll participate in the conference😂👍," he wrote.

This seems like a really odd thing for a team to do, but the KHL seems to be filled with really odd things at times. We'll have to wait and see if this gets corrected.
