After playing professional hockey since 2008, Swedish F Jacob Josefson is retiring from the sport and hanging up his skates.

In 315 NHL games with the New Jersey Devils and Buffalo Sabres, Josefson scored 64 points. Having last played in the NHL in 2018, Josefson has spent the last three seasons with Djurgardens of the Swedish Hockey League, where he served as the team's captain.

The #20 pick of the Devils in 2009, Josefson didn't quite reach the heights Lou Lamoriello had hoped. But his pro career between the NHL and SHL is fairly decorated, plus his appearances for Sweden on the international stage at the World Junior Championships.
