That is right, the Los Angeles Kings are erecting a statue of longtime Captain Dustin Brown's likeness. The LA Kings won two Stanley Cups during Brown's tenure, and he really is synonymous with LA Kings supremacy.

On top of the statue unveiling, the Kings also set the date for Brown's jersey retirement ceremony. Brown's No. 23 will be raised to the rafters February 11, 2023 against the Pittsburgh Penguins.

Brown was drafted 13th overall & spent his entire 18-year career with the Kings. He scored 712 points in 1296 games & added 738 PIMs. When we think the Kings these days, we think of the Dustin Brown era, and the organization knows that. Hence, the statue & the jersey retiring. It is an honor well-deserved.
