Just before the Toronto Maple Leafs were set to make their first round selection, NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman had a trade to announce.

The Maple Leafs have traded goaltender Petr Mrazek and the 25th overall pick to the Chicago Blackhawks in exchange for the 38th overall pick in this year's draft.

Mrazek, 30, appeared in 20 games this season for the Maple Leafs, posting a record of 12-6-0 with a 3.34 GAA and an .888 save percentage. The Ostrava native has two years remaining on his contract with a cap hit of $3.8 million per season.
