With just over seven and a half minutes remaining in the second period, on a 3-on-2 rush, the puck bouncing on MacKinnon's stick and he gets it to Artturi Lehkonen who fires it past Vasilevskiy's glove to make it 2-1 Colorado.

Lehkonen's goal would stand as the game-winner and the Colorado Avalanche have been crowned the 2021-22 Stanley Cup champions, their third in franchise history. The Avalanche finished the Stanley Cup Playoffs with a record of 16-4 and never fell behind in a series.
