The Russian Ice Hockey Federation released more details on Saturday for their upcoming 3-on-3 tournament.

In the press release, they announced that the tournament will be played from June 12th to 14th and will have sixteen teams comprised of players from the NHL, KHL and VHL.

64 games will be played in total, with eight of the sixteen team advancing to a playoff round. The winning team of the tournament will be presented with the Liga Stavok Cup as well as 5,000,000 rubles ($86,768 USD).

Each team will have seven players (five skaters and two goaltenders). The games will be played with three seven minute periods, and if a game is tied after three periods, it will go directly to a shootout. Instead of a player sitting in the box for a penalty, a penalty shot will be awarded.

The tournament can be viewed on the Russian Ice Hockey Federation's website starting on Sunday.
