The Montreal Canadiens have made several changes to its front office staff since the beginning of the 2021-22 season, and the changes continue. The team has announced the hiring of Marie-Philip Poulin, who has served as Captain of the Canadian Women's National hockey team since 2015.

Poulin has been hired as a consultant with the Canadiens' Player Development Department. Because Poulin is still very active in her hockey career, the positions with the Habs will be part-time.

"It is a privilege to add someone as competent as Marie-Philip Poulin in our ranks. She is the best in her field, and her accomplishments will help us build a winning culture within the Canadiens," declared the Owner, President and CEO of the Montreal Canadiens Geoff Molson. "Her arrival is another step towards achieving the diversity that we want to establish within our organization."

At 31 years of age, Poulin has won 15 medals representing Canada on the international stage. That includes four Olympic medals. She is the only player of any gender to score in four consecutive Olympic finals.

As part of her responsibilities, Poulin will be called upon to join the players on the ice and in video sessions to work on their individual and collective skills, in collaboration with the director of player development, Rob Ramage, and the director of hockey development Adam Nicholas.
