Each night through the Conference Finals, the National Hockey League is announcing award winners and Thursday night was the Jack Adams Award.

The Jack Adams Award is given annually to the NHL coach who is "adjudged to have contributed the most to his team's success."

This year, the National Hockey League announced that Calgary Flames Head Coach Darryl Sutter is the 2021-22 recipient of the Jack Adams Award. Sutter led the Calgary Flames to a Pacific Division title with a 50-21-11 record in the regular season. The Flames went on to defeat the Dallas Stars in seven games in the first round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs, but ultimately fell in the second round to their Provincial rival, the Edmonton Oilers.

With the win, Darryl joins his brother Brian as the only brothers to win the Jack Adams Award. Brian won it during the 1990-91 season as the Head Coach of the St. Louis Blues.
