Nikita Zadorov Reportedly Played Through Major Injury
No secret hockey players are tough. Just yesterday we learned Chris Tanev played through a separated shoulder, torn labrum, & a sprained neck. At that point, it might be best practice to simply shut a guy down, but Tanev is his own man so not for me to determine that. Today we also learned that his teammate, Nikita Zadorov, also fought through major injury.
Tanev's tale is almost legendary, so it may overshadow three fractured ribs. However, anyone who has ever suffered broken ribs knows how excruciating it is. It immobilizes someone, so the fact that Zadorov was battling net front practically all playoffs long is remarkable. These guys are warriors.
