With just six minutes left in Game 5 Battle of Alberta, there was quite the controversial 'no-goal' call. After a beautiful move by Flames' forward Mikael Backlund, Blake Coleman drives the net and the puck appears to go off of his skate into the net.

At first glance, the puck seemed to be going in anyway - without help from Coleman's skate. Secondly, Coleman appeared to be stopping to avoid crashing into the net. And thirdly, it's difficult to say that was a "distinct kicking motion."

This could be the difference between an extended series or Calgary being eliminated from playoffs. Did officials Wes McCauley and Eric Furlatt made the right call?
