Retired NHL referee Tim Peel has become very vocal on Twitter. Each night he tweets which officials are doing which playoff games. He will also provide his opinion on some controversial calls or non-calls.

Earlier today, Peel posted a tweet offering to buy a beer for anyone going to tonight's Game 4 between the Colorado Avalanche and the St. Louis Blues.

Peel will be at O'B Clarke Restaurant at 6pm, probably to catch the game. It's important to note that he does not necessarily favor the Blues, he simply lives in St. Louis. In just a few hours, his tweet received dozens of comments.

Most recently, pertaining the the Blues / Avalanche series, Peel took a decisive side on the controversial play between Avalanche forward Nazim Kadri and Blues' netminder Jordan Binnington.

Peel is a regular NHL media resource. He has been on many hockey talk shows and podcasts, most recently the #1 hockey podcast in the US, which is Spittin' Chiclets.

So, if you are in St. Louis and going to Game 4 tonight, head to O'B Clarke and get a beer on Tim Peel. It's not every day you get to meet a former NHL referee.
