The Panthers have been incredibly disappointing in their series against the reigning back-to-back Stanley Cup champion Tampa Bay Lightning. And I think this might explain why:

Long story short, a number of Panthers' players were spotted at a Tampa strip club (the city is famous for those, google it) until 3AM, according to Pat Donavan & co,

That would certainly explain the team's awful results through three games, and one would think that in this situation they'd be considerably more devoted to winning. Especially since the team's window isn't necessarily large. Claude Giroux, Mason Marchment, Joe Thornton, and Ben Chiarot are all UFA this summer, and they have a handful of RFAs as well. The core of their team still has some runway, but with a lack of dedication to this degree, does it really matter?

What good is a core that doesn't prioritize winning? Now to be fair, we don't know which players were out gallivanting until 3AM but it hardly matters. This falls on the leaders in the room & the head coach. A head coach who just spoke about how the opposing team simply wants it more:

The Panthers are in a tough spot, and this news is a bad look for the organization. No excuses, their leadership needs to & likely will be held accountable.
